Oh dear

new here? wanna say hello? then say hello!! [HELLO CLARIIICE....]

Oh dear

Postby Proxy » Thu Jun 09, 2011 6:48 pm

It seems I've been drawn into yet another webcomic forum. What will come of this, beyond crazy shenanigans?
Also, I appear to be introduced under the title of "petty human," how... distressing.
Anyway (I'm fairly certain the word "anyways" does not exist?) I shall introduce myself here as "Proxy," for lack of a better moniker.
And I pray that you all will forgive my curious usage of commas, and apparent fixation on the English language.

As to my reason for joining said forum, I found the playlist that went along with it quite to my liking awhile back, and someone linked me to Skinny Love, Bon Iver, and I dare say it took me a few moments, but I figured out where I knew it from, and back I was dragged by curiousity and love of good stories. A good story this seems to be. So here I shall sit and stay for a short while.

Affectionate of the story as I may be, the art here also caught my eye- and I'm not one to read a comic that has anything short of beautiful art, and you may take that as you will.

And that draws my introduction to a close.

Ahh yes, and congratulations are in order, if I am not being too presumptious. Congratulations on your wedding~

@H... Well. That's a first, it took me only one post to be confused about something, how... silly. How does one go about addressing this fine artiste? And your playlist is quite excellent- fairly similar to the majority of the music I listen to, so no, you won't be the only one to use it. Need to find me stuff to listen to somehow~
And what fun is it to have proper priorities? T'would be quite simply robotic... Seems a might boring to me.
Also, thank you for the welcome... I think. Unless you happen to sport sunglasses and a suit, then I shall quite simply be amused.

@Fish. I don't always natter on in such a fashion, it simply seemed the most eloquent way of introducing myself. I should say it had quite an effect, correct? Sometimes one simply must try on a new... accent, shall we say?
Piffle, you needn't worry about being bold at all, I do believe I shall enjoy my stay, and perhaps I shall attempt to converse with Fauvem... did you say? My thanks for the warm welcome, though it seems to have backfired a little for you. Living in denial is frequently frowned upon in medical societies- I do believe they say it has something to do with heart problems? Perhaps from the clutching of hands to the breast?

Aaaah, I see, one refers to our matron artist as the Vulgar one? or is it perhaps simply Vulgar one? Puzzling.
Pray tell, may I refer to her as Vulgar Matron? Or would Patron be more appropriate... Hum...

Diplomacy and other such tedious acts, beg an apology be made for lateness, but irreverence & humor makes better company on forums. It leads to such banter as "Who left the gutted fish here?" in the instance of those that have already greeted you and other antics which you were found questioning in your introduction. I would answer that question with "Every journey starts with a single step and 'crazy shenanigans' is an apt enough for it." But I digress, lest I become distracted and drift from the task at hand, I welcome you a person by proxy, known as proxy, to the forum.

I wish you luck, it is rather early in the morning for me to be posting something. If you manage to sort your way through this, I shall tip my hat in your general direction!
@Fauvem. I sense this interaction may, in fact, be fruitful, or alternatively it may not. Conundrum.
I beg pardon yet again, but I must insist on my course of action. Perhaps in the case of a forum, frivolity may in fact be the best manner of speech and action, however, tedious acts of diplomacy or other such similar things lead to much amusement in and of themselves. Consider- should someone such as yourself find that you have left a post unedited, and therein was an error in... shall we say character? Much hilarity may ensue. And while irreverence may lead more directly to humourous statements, such as yours describing the fate of a fish that is quite unlively, I find the brand of humour to occasionally be lacking, and prefer the more subtle humours, though some may say the lowest. I must inquire however, to the fate of said "gutted fish?" Why was the poor thing left there, and more importantly, who left it there?
In my experience, "crazy shenanigans," and likeminded tomfoolery frequently require more than one step- one to set up the gag, and the other to realize that your shoe seems to have glued itself to the floor, how unfortunate.
It seems that you manage to successfully distract me from my original intent as well, good sir. My sincere thanks for your... verbose welcome, and I pray my response was not insufficiently to the point.
Ah. I occurs to me that you may not be a good "sir," in which case I shall feel the need to point out that I am a lover of the romantic languages, and I shall borrow the integral use of the masculine pronoun as the catch-all gender. Oh how delightfully sexist of me. I blame the French, as I'm am rather fluent in the language and is has no small influence on my... speech.

@Evilsquirrel. I am curious as to what you "thought" you agreed to, when you agreed with good Fauvem, as it seems you are not quite sure as to what was said. That being said! Hello! =)
I find myself yet again in a position that requires a gentleman to apologize- I am, unfortunately, not fluent in the language spoken, though it seems to have the tendencies of German? From the butchery of languages that is an online translator, am I correct in assuming that English is not for your first language? If I am incorrect, a thousand apologies, and I would be curious as to the actual translation.
