Hello, I am a person, unless you don't count cephalopods as people, in which case I will have to set you on fire for being a horrible person. As may be obvious from the fact that I have signed up to this forum, I like dream*scar (I could have just signed up to loudly announce my hatred for the comic, but that would make me a horrible person, so I haven't). Ummm, I either talk far too much or not at all, and I seem to always end up rambling on about something entirely unconnected to the original topic, like squid eyes. squid eyes are cool. Even though when fully formed, they are very similar in structure to mammilian eyes, they actually evolved separately, and they grow in a very different fashion from mammilian eyes, making this a case of covergent evolution. Which is cool.

Anyway, I have a hat (or rather two hats). Everyone should have a hat, the fancier the better. I also draw stuff, including a comic, and I post it on deviantart because I am haven't gotten around to getting a separate space for the comic, but I haven't drawn much of it yet so there isn't really a problem.

I shall now vanish in a puff of smoke and never post anything ever again. *poof*

Also, I will mention that squid eyes are pretty epic, unless you are looking at them before you chop up the rest of their body for tempura calamari.... then they suck, because you feel guilty about what you are about to do to the poor thing :c

I cunningly avoid that problem by being vegetarian. However, the obvious solution is to preserve the squid's eyes in a jar and keep them in a prominent place, such as on your desk. Although that may end up with a large number of disembodied squid eyes staring at you while you work, which would be creepy. So maybe that isn't a good idea.

I will put up a link to my comic in the art section, but from what I've seen everyone else is a lot better at drawing that me (including you) so my stuff is probably going to suck by comparison. Oh well.

You also should probably qualify as an anthropoglot, if not person under human rights and I can't extend humanity to include our invertebrate brethren, I'm not qualified to do so... On an unrelated note, people are suggested that I be destroyed by Fire already on this forum & I can't vouch for not being a practitioner of self-immolation in my early teenage years. My recollection is delightfully fuzzy around the edges of those missing years. On the subject of convergent evolution, I lean towards the cat owl comparison over mammalian eyes and squid eyes but to each its own and I agree on the coolness of convergent evolution. I am surprisingly well hatted, I have four hats but none qualify as fancy. They serve there purposes to a satisfactory level and decoration or fashion is not one of the aforementioned purposes. Could you reappear and answer this curious question, why does everyone go "poof" when they disappear into a cloud of smoke?

I believe the reason that the reason the sound of *poof* is associated with disappearance in a puff of smoke is due to ninjas. A ninja who wishes to disappear in a puff of smoke must first throw down some form of ninja smoke bomb, and being ninjas these are of course as silent as possible, hence *poof* instead of *bang*. The smoke also needs to appear immediately if the ninja is to escape in a cloud of it (imagine that, you throw down a a smoke bomb in the middle of your enemies and instead of a *poof* and you vanishing silently into the night, the smoke slowly hisses out and you have to politely ask your enemies to stand around for a few seconds for the smoke to appear, and then you just know that the smoke will be ready before you are done apologising and you will have to vanishing into the night with nothing but a whispered "sorry man, I'll get some better smoke bombs next time, I promise." Talk about a drama killer) so that puts a slow hiss out. Of course, then the ninjas got it standardised and now everyone has to use a *poof* for their disappearing into a cloud of smoke, whether they like it or not.

On the subject of hats, While a fancy hat is indeed better, an impractically fancy hat just makes you look like a prat, and it is possible to substitute fanciness for looking good while wearing your hat. Even a boring regular hat is far better than a lack of a hat.

Now, I should go create a thread where everyone can see (and hopefully not laugh at) my art. And set an avatar.
