As to Fauvem, forgive the lack of eloquent response, but I think I shall have to say that I misspoke, and that I do have a fairly eclectic sense of humour as well, but repetition makes jack a dull boy- and very many jokes fade under constant usage, for example, the common meme is not longer funny, though they do serve their purpose. As such, the more complicated the joke, the more amusing I find it, as it does not base itself on an overused gag.
On formality, I speak with a more formal english than most people, but do not subscribe to formalities of manners as much. I enjoy the individuality it gives on the internet when most english is, in truth, engrish. Besides, I have used it for so long that it has become a habit.
Diplomacy comes in many forms- and while yes, in general if you make reference to diplomatic way of holding oneself, it will imply much formality, it is also possible to do without that formality. For example, avoiding conflict with the usage of non-required apologies works quite well in many instances, for whatever reason and regardless of style of language. Even if it does seem a little silly at times.
Oh, and poetic license allows for many good times, feel free to quote it as your reason for almost anything!

@Fish Hurrah another theatre person! As of yet, I haven't ventured into "professional" theatre either, I am at the end of my high school career, and am going to be attending a college for it in the coming two years. I feel so very lucky~
Hopefully you'll find a chance to get back into it, because it seems you enjoyed it, yes? It would be a shame for the community to lose someone who actually wants to be there!
As I am only just graduating, I have similar experience as you- I've been part of my school "Tech club" for the past three years, and had the honour of being the Head SM for a production of Jane Eyre. Which, I must say, took the biscuit. So much fun~ Beyond that, I've worked on several MacIvor plays, and have adored each and every one. I stage managed In On It, which was a blast, and helped make sure that Never Swim Alone actually made it up(I've a good story with that one.) Both are fabulous plays, and warrant checking out if there's a production of them in town somewhere!

And as to my age- I'm also far younger than I sound, as you might have picked up from the above.

It's nice to hear that I'm not the youngest one here. It's also nice to see someone it Tech that got into it in a different way than I did. It seems you got into it via a club in I read correctly, I actually did it originally through a class as a freshman, and took advancing levels of the class till senior year because of schedule conflicts. It was much more than a class, woot for staying till 10PM on so many nights.

As for what I did in Tech was varied. I did so many jobs over 3 years that it would be too long a list, I put the major ones down and if you want to know I'll put up the others.

The major ones were Props Master, Head Carpenter, and also basically the Head Grip for a month because the original head was a total flake (I was originally just helping in my free time between construction and prop jobs), I was acting Head until my friend replaced the guy. I was also on construction and grip crew every year.

And you said for the next to years, so are you going to Full Sail, or a school like it?

My favorite plays so far have been The Musicman (I was prop master for this ) and Is He Dead (<- we had the perfect lead for this), I also really enjoyed the Alice In Wonderland we did, which was before the movie came out.

I actually just saw The Addams Family and Rock of Ages while I was in New York, which was actually the reason for the visit. It was a late B-day/graduation present to my girlfriend and I. Both plays were amazing I really like the girl who plays Wednesday better than the original Broadway one. And the narrator for Rock of Ages is absolutely hilarious.
