HMM, WHO DAT. And why did she get Kou's panties in a twist? 8D [if you've watched my DA for a long time, you may recognize her...] d*s got a pretty sweet review this week over at Tangents Reviews, so check it out, if that sorta thing tickles your fancy. ;D [i made that suggestive, and i don't know why] In comic related news, I am starting to realize chapter 7 is going to be a monster, page count wise. This is because I combined two chapters from the novel into one, but the splitting point was a little awkward [about when vix looked up to see Andre last page lol]... oh well! That doesn't matter, right...? lol... Current Incentive: Busy again this week, but I did manage to sketch some stuff on the back of a flyer during a class this week [instead of paying attention 8D] using a ballpoint pen. I coloured one of the Vix's and a Dahlia a bit in photoshop as well, just for shits and giggles. :)

A few ppl have pointed out this place is too clean. So I added some debris and stuff [tho you can't really see it in the bathroom on this page haha...there is graffiti in there too but none of it is in this line of sight...] Some giftart stuff: Response to the current pages by my friend Matt, who really needs an art site lol. last panel sort of killed me lmao Cute lonely looking Vixie by my buddy Taylor... Current Incentive: Well I scanned two arts I showed wips of before, but my scanner raped them horribly... everything was completely washed out, no matter what settings I tried. T_T Did my best to rescue them with photoshop. Sad to say they look better like this than they did before. Oh well... I guess I will stick to photoshop from now on lol.

Vix as a Succubus! by Kat [she draws me so much awesome art!! @__@] Would also like to plug a webcomic that I've been reading for a while but only just got around to adding to my links page! Spare Keys for Strange Doors is a story about two paranormal detectives who, well...solve paranormal problems! It's a really fun read, and so far has focused on the subjects of investigation rather than the duo themselves. In other news, if you don't check the d*s facebook page, you might have missed that I've updated the d*s playlist, as well as the drama with my dying tablet [it's better now, but there are some cool pics of the tablet's innards! haha]... so have a peek at it if interested. O_o? Current Incentive: I didn't have anything prepped for today so I grabbed an old pchat and started doing a paint over... it turned very pink and shiny... Idk if I will ever finish it or not xD;; I pasted the original pic to the side for comparison.

About now, I am sure Kou is totally convinced it's lady issues. :'D The Panthera cast is actually on this page again, sort of [their backs count? LOL] as well as my friend's charas, Mirah and Demi :) [demi will actually play a part later in the comic -- look forward to it!] In other news, I haven't updated my fanart page in ages..I really need to get on that! But I got some art of a chibi Vix this week by Varethane, who does the webcomic Chirault... AND!! I am not sure I ever linked this artwork of Vix by Kat, cos she posted it around my honeymoon break... if I did link it, well, enjoy it again xD? In other OTHER news, I added two new comics to the links section... first is Utopiates, which is a comic where there are these crazy drugs that basically give you new personalities. It's relatively new so there's not a huge lot of main storyline in it yet, but it's promising and the art is pretty badass. If you've ever seen Broken Saints [which i highly doubt ._.], please tell me I am not alone in feeling nostalgic when I read this comic :P Second is Karnellium -- I actually have no idea what this is about yet, it's only a few pages long so far, but the art is really pretty! I am really hoping it keeps going :) Umm! That's it, I think. Lots of linkage this update...haha. :) Current Incentive: A pic I started on New Years Eve. I debated whether or not to make R. Peen the stuffed animal Vix wins in this scene [it wasn't him in the novel version]... but in the end I couldn't resist lmao. [also, i hope you get a kick out of kou's reaction, kyrie. ilyml.] Apparently I am going to be playing SWTOR tomorrow. I don't really know much about it, but J really wants me to play it lol. I won't let it take over my time tho. If you missed it, I updated on Tuesday as well. Go back and read that page first :) Also, I have to admit, I totally traced the bottom landscape from a photo and eyedropped a lot of colours off of it lmao. [for the curious, the photo is here] I was a dirty cheater for it and I'd feel like a liar for not mentioning it... so there it is lmao. Anyway, I based this place off the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, which is the only place I've been that really fit what I had in mind for this part of the comic, and I have a decent amount of ref photos from our visit lol... but for the sake of ambiguity, let's assume that this isn't actually the Santa Cruz Boardwalk... which is my way of saying that I never gave much thought to a real life city for d*s to take place lol... 8D;; Current Incentive: [same as tuesday update, in case some ppl missed it.] something i started doodling at work on black friday lol... initially it was going to be perverted [if it's not obvious] but then it turned into this creepy thing... but yeah, it's not finished yet. this is sort of like the 'flat colours' stage..i still need to shade it xD;

I was pretty exhausted from the holidays lol. Lol poor Rylie. xD; She was only trying to help... So I'm back! Clearly... xD Had A LOT of fun on the honeymoon and visiting family :) I don't really have a lot of pics tho, we kept forgetting our camera xD;; We did get some fun space mountain pics tho. I will have to bug my friend to scan them. xD ...I did also manage to get sick, but thankfully it was the last 2 days... and now J is now sick too. No one to take care of us but the cats xD [they are doing a good job!] Anyway, I didn't actually really draw AT ALL this trip. @_@ Like I sketched Catwoman during one of my sick days whilst watching Kent play Arkham City, and I finished a pic for my Aunt-in-law [is that a real term?], but other than that, nothing. ._.;;; I feel so unproductive. Lol... First and foremost, I'd like to apologize to any guys or tomboyish gals reading this page, it's a little....girly...? lol Second, I'd like to apologize to EVERYONE because there will be no update next week!!!... due to delayed honeymoon. FINALLY GOING gfufufsufiafak excitement. I missed drawing Julie [vix's foster mama], like ridiculously so xD; Looking forward to more scenes with her again @_@ sigh. Also ..sorry I didn't do chara questions this week. I collected all the questions and was planning to work on a round of them after I finished prepping this page, but this page took a serious amount of retouching, art and dialogue wise...@_@;; it was already 5 before I was done with that, and I ended up with a huge headache. I tried to doodle some chara FAQs still, but my head was hurting too much to think of anything interesting or amusing, so I'll try for it next week instead xD; Gonna go take a nap...think the lack of sleep this week might be part of why I am feeling bad lol. Current Incentive: Seeing as I spent most of the day/week working on comic related stuff and commissions, I didn't really get a chance to draw anything else... so I went thru some of my old art and threw a bunch into this... a lot of doodles, some mini comic stuff etc...sorry, this one kinda blows I guess lol. :( I made sure they were all d*s related tho.

Weird page is weird. Been getting back into anime lately, thanks to Jeni... we're watching Hanasaku Iroha, which is ..idk, kinda slice of life-ish and cute, and then also Tiger&Bunny, which is about ppl starting to be born with special powers, and some of them decide to be superheroes...which is then broadcast on live tv lol. It's really funny. Maybe I'll do the charas dressed up as them for the halloween art this year... NEW CHAPTER!! NEW VOLUME!! And also... new layout =D New stuff! Comment System! Because people have wanted it since forever... Lol. You can find the comment system below the news here... when you click the "# Comments" button, it will load up the comment app, which is run by Disqus. So those of you who avoid signing up for forums can have a voice now too :) Sidebar! Completely new. :D It has buttons for where to find d*s related things, including the rss [previously hidden at the bottom of the page lol], Deviantart Group, facebook page, etc etc... You'll also find the vote incentive button is going to be over there now [tho i am not 100% on this yet], as well as a button for the underused d*s store, a new project wonderful adspace and also... a donate button, since people have actually asked me how they can donate. xD THE OBVIOUS! The main page now has the comic on it... lol. :'D Hmm, that might be all...but it's a pretty big deal to me XD Anyway, I've updated the layout section of the About page, and tweaked a few other ones so they point to places like the DA group for fanart, or the YT playlist, etc etc. Oh, also, the song for this chapter is named for is 'Blindness' by Metric... great song :) Current Incentive: While I *do* have some actual d*s related things in my sketchbook I could scan, I am a lazy bum and will not be scanning them today. Early, early post! Not gonna be around tonight to update, so figured I'd post it early :'D Everyone likes early posts, right...? LOL BUT YES! Chapter 6 ends! This also concludes Vol 1 of d*s! ...finally :P Sadly, I haven't finished the edits for vol1 yet, so I guess the print version of d*s will be a while :( ... sorryisuck. Btw, the song Vix has on her player on this page is 'Lovely Head' by Goldfrapp ... I kinda of imagine it from 3:00 on for the scene, tho in actuality the lyrics listed start at 2:05~ish. :P Also, Josh has pretty much finished the new layout, and I would like to post it by tuesday...but he still has some details to finish [which he's put off for over a week now, grrr!], but look forward to that, I suppose?! Vix catches sight of some of the residents of the neighborhood... I wanna take the time to plug my favourite webcomic atm, which is Panthera! It's about an awesome team of teenagers who can transform into awesome jungle cats and use awesome elemental abilities. The charas are really well written and the dialogue cracks me up. Chapter 3, Misguided Angel... and so the story begins ;] Like the others have been, this chapter is named after a song, and one that I really love... 'Misguided Angel' by the Cowboy Junkies. [youtube link] It's sort of a nod to my mom, as well, since she used to listen to this group a lot when I was a little liiiiittle kid. She introduced me to a lot of really nice stuff as I grew up. Love ya, mama :] While the lyrics don't really fit the chapter, the title really does lol... so there it is. Current Incentive: I was able to do two pages this last week, so I spent the weekend sketching out some thumbnails and stuff for chapter 3, cos I was near to the end of my sketches after finishing the last page I did... I managed to sketch up about 9 of them [got up to page 20 thumbed], so here's a pic of my thumbnail sketch for page 17 of chapter 3. Have fun mocking up some dialogue in your head or photoshop. If you missed it, I am going back to 1 update a week [fridays] with occassional Tuesday updates, which will be announced the Friday before the extra update. My buffer has become very small because of my new job and holiday stuff and I think it's important to have a few pages in case I can't draw for a few days or something. I'll be posting the cover page on Tuesday, and then it will just be Friday updates from there on... just wanted to give a heads up. In other news, I've updated the Extras section! I added links to all my art videos, and have also put together a makeshift playlist for the comic. Basically every song on the playlist is somehow related to d*s, and I've explained all the ones I could without giving spoilers. There are a few I couldn't find so I linked to YT in the description, so give those a listen as well :D I suggest putting the playlist on while browsing instead of just sitting there and staring at my site or something LOL. I'll prolly be adding more to the playlist in the future. Complete with pink stars and spikey hair. Hopefully the bottom japanese actually says "Yume No" cos...I was using my old Jap-Eng dictionary that is smaller than my palm and the kanji was really tiny for Yume lol... This week's incentive is just a little doodle of the gang showing off their Halloween costumes :D The top pics were drawn on the comp, but the bottom one in colour was done on paper and I was pretty drunk when I coloured it.
